After the killing of the Emir of Gwoza, Idris Timta, our sources reports that the dreaded Boko Haram sect on Sunday stormed into a church in Attagra, a small village in Gwoza, Borno State and opened fire on worshipers. The incident took place at about 9:30 a.m while the church service was ongoing.

It was also reported that the villagers immediately recruited and fought back the terrorists, killing at least six of them in a fierce battle.

After the open fire between the villagers and the terrorists, more than hundred Boko Haram members arrived the place and started shooting at random but the villagers had disappeared to their hiding places.

A resident of the area while speaking to the media said this was the second attack they had suffered in two weeks and therefore called out the Nigerian military to come to their defense.
